JOHN TURNER (Recorders) and
LESL EY-JANE ROGERS (Soprano)
John Turner proved very successful with our audiences when he played for us a few seasons ago with brilliant musicianship and his delightful personality. In his hands, the recorders are a million miles away from what we associate with school groups.
Lesley-Jane Rogers was a real hit with choir and audience when she sang as soloist with the Sittingbourne Orpheus Choral Society, also a few years ago.
They will perform a programme including Canzonets by Morley, duets byDowland,
3 Flower Songs by the late Arnold Cooke (who lived for a long time in Kent) and works by Bridget Fry, and John Joubert, the composer of the popular carol Torches.
